boy wallet refashioned :: mini tutorial

Ever since his cousin was in town this past summer, my little guy had been asking for a wallet.  I searched, and searched, and searched...and found nothing that we liked.  So I did the next best thing- make one for him.  Well, kind of.  I refashioned a mens wallet I found at a big box store and turned it into a cute boy approved wallet.

That's it really!  I happened to have a snap on applique, but you can also use an iron on applique, making it an even easier project.   Since I was using what I had on hand these are the steps I took:

1. Make a hole in the center of the front part of the wallet.   Be careful that the hole does not go through the inner pockets.  2.  Snap in place your applique.  3.  Glue the edges of applique with a hot glue or fabric glue.  This will help keep it in place and avoid little curious hands from unsnapping and loosing the applique.
