I admit it. I have a washi tape addiction! I may need an intervention. But really how can you not love all those beautiful colors, the choices, the patterns! All packed up in a sticky roll that you can use just about anywhere. Yes, I am addicted.
I didn't realize this until the other morning when I noticed I had missed the day's
Pick Your Plum deal. It was washi tape!!!!! at 70% off!!!! I was devastated. Do I really need more washi in my life? Probably not. Do I have enough? I probably do. But I love them so.
I guess I can do with a bit less (see my collection up there?), but there are so many wonderful ways you can use that lovely washi tape.
Here are just a few ways I've used it so far:
Use it to decorate a birthday number!
Just cut the number out of card stock and then use the washi tape randomly. Don't be perfect in the spacing nor follow any particular pattern. I made this number to surprise my little girl when she turned five this past November. She loved waking up and seeing this hanging from her bedroom's doorway.
Use it to decorate vintage suitcases!
We keep all her costumes and play accessories in vintage suitcases- that I decided needed a bit more color- I used washi tape to
spruce them up. When she gets bored and wants to change her bedroom color theme, or if we decide I need to use those suitcases elsewhere, all I need to do is pull that tape off and listo.
Use it to decorate mason jars lids!
Need I say more? Nice and simple, yet perfect for gift giving.

Make a book-marker!
I re-purposed and old tag (those that lovely Pick Your Plum sends with their orders) and decorated it with washi tape, then I added a little sticker for embellishment. Easy peasy, super cute, and perfect to keep my space in my journal.

Lo admito, tengo una adicción a la cinta washi. Probablemente necesite una intervención. Pero enserio, como uno no puede enamorarse de tan lindos colores, estampados, y opciones!! Todos en un sencillo y rico rollito de cinta adhesiva. Si estoy adicta a ellos.
La verdad que no me había dado cuenta hasta que el otro día perdí la oportunidad de ordenar de
Pick Your Plum su oferta del día. ¡Era washi tape!!! ¡Con el 70% de descuento!!!! Estaba super triste. ¿Necesito mas washi tape? Probablemente no. ¿Tengo mas que suficiente? Probablemente si. ¡Pero me encanta!
Creo que podría sobrevivir con menos (¿ves mi colección aya arriba?), pero hay tantas maneras de como puedo usar estas lindas cintas.

¡Úsala para decorar un numero de cumpleaños!
Solo necesitas cortar un numero usando una cartulina gruesa. Luego decórala con tiras de cinta washi. No te preocupes de seguir un patrón, alterna los colores y las figuras. Yo hice este numero y lo colgué en la puerta de mi pequeña para sorprenderla el día de su cumple. Le encanto encontrar su puerta decorada cuando despertó.
¡Úsala para decorar maletas antiguas!
Me gusta guardar todos sus disfraces y accesorios de mi niña en maletas antiguas. Pero se me hacían muy simples para su recamara y
decidi decorarlas con cinta washi. Cuando se aburra de los colores de su cuarto o cuando yo necesite usar las maletas en otro lugar sera fácil quitarles las cintas sin arruinarlas.
Super sencillo y bonito para regalar.
¡Úsala para hacer un marcador de libros!
Si. Yo hice este re-usando una tarjetita que me mandaron. La decore con cinta washi y luego la termine con una simple calcamonia. El marcador perfecto para mantener mi lugar en mi diario.
